The extracted bitrate landed on 944 kbps however, a bit lower than regular CD quality (around 1400 kpbs). But I can live with that.
Yes I did, you are correct. It was a long time since I ripped redbook to FLAC, but now I remember it always ended up around there.Did you convert to FLAC? If so, this seems reasonable. Everything I use reports the bitrate based on the compressed FLAC rather than the uncompressed WAV.
Your forum post is describing the exact same problem as I had. So basically the conclusion is that mkv can’t properly handle all dvd discs when it comes to chapters I guess.
