AV Yamaha vs quadro mix 4.0

An acquaintance bought a new Yamaha with Atmos, and when reproducing 4.0 mixes, it also plays in the central channel, although the Yamaha has full 'Straight' mode. What could be the problem?

I do not know. I found out about it with an acquaintance when I was leaving and there was no time to deal with it. Moreover, he immediately replied that he didn't mind. Multichannel music is a new discovery for him and he is scared of it all, he has to take it slow. It's going to be a bit difficult to explain to him that he's playing it the way he's not supposed to :-D
