Moody Blues Sacd at great deal

I am familar with cd's 2-through 5 but haven't heard the first cd
'Day's of Future Passed'. Is this a no brainer to pick up or would the sound of this Cd be very dated now 40 years later. Let me know, thanks.

Days of Future Passed is one of those moment in time classic albums. It contains two hits, Nights in White Satin and Tuesday Afternoon. When it was released it was a groundbreaking effort combining rock music with a full symphony orchestra. I still find it to be enjoyable, one of my favorite albums by the Moodies, but a departure compared to the later works. These days some of the orchestral arrangements could be considered a little bit like Mantovani or Ferrante and Teicher, but on the whole it has this vibrant psychedelic feel that was prevalent at the time. It really captures the dreamy quality of the era.
