Playing DVD-A and SACD through Vintage Quad Receiver

OK, so it's not playing a CD or DVD-A that's the problem. Neither is it a dirty receiver - I cleaned it all pretty well. The problem is the power supply in the receiver going bad. Needs recapping or something. Yes, it's back at the shop. This thing is a money pit.
 
yep, that seems way cheaper to buy new receiver than restore old one.
to play with antic gears, one should be well familiar with repair by DIY or
have significant amount of disposable cash for such projects. other way
it doesn't worth to mess with, as there no guarantee that next day after
repair something else in circuit wouldn't go crazy.
 
Any advice on best ways to learn how to do recapping work myself? YouTube instructionals? I have another vintage receiver here that needs recapping. It's an H/K 630 that I bought for 25 bucks. It was working great for awhile, but I just dug it out and it's blowing fuses. I'm sure it needs new caps. Maybe I'll try myself, but I have no idea what I'm doing.
