Nice! I miss the 1971-1975 Los Angeles Times - Sunday Calendar section with the Pacific Stereo center spread for gear and the later Federated Group for gear and Q8 tapes.

Check out the Quad equipment ads in this thread: https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/fo...Quad-Equipment&p=150259&highlight=#post150259 There are two 19 page newspaper inserts from the Milwaukee Sentinel. Although Pacific had three stores in Milwaukee, they were a year or two away at that point. I will try to post some Pacific ads, perhaps on a different thread. Sadly, the Chicago Tribune and LA Times both charge for viewing their vintage ads. The NY Times does, as well. There are Pacific ads in both the LA and Chicago newspapers, as well as later issues of the Milwaukee, Atlanta and Texas papers. I had worked for Pacific in Chicago. Although we were in the same region as Milwaukee, it is amusing to view the ads for that market area, since there were lines that we didn't carry. Stay tuned!

Quad Headquarters! Pix of Q8, SQ, CD-4 & QS. Largest selection in Milwaukee. Treasure Island, JC Penney's discount store, from 8/21/74 Milwaukee Sentinel: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=wZJMF1LD7PcC&dat=19740821&printsec=frontpage&hl=en These stores were called the Treasury in Chicago, since there is a grocery chain named Treasure Island. Milwaukee's largest selection was actually Radio Doctors. In Chicago, Korvettes, Rolling Stones, Rose Records, Disc Records and Lafayette all had bigger Quad selections.

Lots of QS titles in this Discount Records ad: http://freeingjohnsinclair.aadl.org/files/aa_sun_19731101_p016-004.jpg
