Has anyone listened to the Roger Waters Ça Ira SACD ?

I've read reviews saying it's everything from dreck to genius.

Anyone?

A big problem is that a good chunk of Roger's fanbase is Pink Floyd fans who aren't into such things as opera (myself included). As far as Ca Ira is concerned I enjoyed listening to it once so far but I haven't been quite inclined to pop it back in my player since. It does have a nice 5.1 mix that is very generously well done. There's one bit on Disc 1 Track 10 that really scared the crap of out me (literaly) when a gunshot kicked out of NOWHERE in the rears and panned right up to the fronts so quickly I swore for a few seconds that it blown out all my speakers. :D

The recording and surround mix are stellar.

That being said. Do you like opera? If not this probably won't change your mind.

Spot on.

No, seriously -- I don't like most opera, and it's surprisingly listenable. It's not, however, the next Roger Waters solo album. It truly is an opera.

I've only listened to it once or 2ce, so cannot comment on the fidelity.
