Sansui 9001 220v

I decided to make the jump into quad and I went ahead and picked up the Sansui mentioned in this thread:

This is my first Sansui and overall it looks to be in good shape. I was about to fire it up when I noticed a 220v sticker on the side closest to the power cord. Does this mean I need to power it from 220v?

No. It just means that there is a voltage selector deal on the back that lets you set it for 110 120 210 220 (I think it's something like that). As I recall, it's more like a "wheel" thing you just remove and reinsert after "spinning" it to the correct voltage setting.

I don't see a selector. There is a fuse that you unscrew to change. It indicates this should be 5A for 220/240v or 10A for 110/120v. The fuse is 5A indicating it is set up for 220/240v.

Do I need to open the side panel to get the the selector?

I found the selector behind a small box cover on the back. It is not a wheel, but a jumper plug that you move to different positions. A couple of positions require turning it upside down; which may be where your memory of a "spinning wheel" came from.

The four settings available are 100/120/220/240v. I found it set to 100v. Should it not be set to 120v in the US?
