Sanyo quad receiver DXL-4586: any info on this?

Hi everyone,
I recently purchsed a Sanyo quad receiver with 8-track player,
Model#DXL-4586.
I can find NO information at all on this unit, also I can't find any service manual, or owner's manual.
Can anybody give me any information about this unit?

yes the 8 track will playback either quad or stereo tapes... but the decoder for sq and matrix are very basic and the power transformer inside is close to the 8 track electronics resulting in a small low level hum that probably wont get reproduced by the bookshelf speakers.

However, the dials are alot of fun to play with ...especially the one that works with the slider controls for front and back speakers ....and the azimuth on the deck is quite good and the playback heads are quite good too, so it's not bad for playback of pre recorded tapes, despite the low level hum.

It's like the unit was never made.
There is NOTHING out there...NOTHING.
I'm still on the lookout for an owner's manual, and a service manual.
