Sony TC-788-4 or AKAI GX-630D-SS ?

What would be the best decision for a quad tape mashine? Sony TC-788-4 or AKAI GX-630D-S ? Or others?
What is your opinion?

My preference is for the Akai, knowing that the electronics will likely need going over. They are well built and the glass crystal heads last forever with reasonable care. If the Sony has similar made heads to the TC 377 that I grew up with, the heads and tape guides suffer badly from wear.
