Since I order more 2ch/1ch SACD's than anyone, this thread cried out for me to start it!

Joe pre-ordered these MoFi titles for me:

Baby, I'm a Want You - Bread (one of my fave CD-4 albums.)

The Morning After - J. Geils Band

Pat Garrett & Billy the Goat - The Zim

Waiting years for this one to be released!
Is this just more sugar coated Pipe Dream? Anyone know if this was a Japanese SACD release?

Definitely NOT a Japanese Import, JP. Clearly states Analogue Production/Prestige Jazz Label. Maybe they lost interest! It happens, you know.

Here's a list from Acoustic Sounds of forthcoming [coming soon] SACD titles with release dates [except Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced]: https://store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=results&comingsoon=true&CategoryID=4

Well maybe Harry Potter Chocolate Biscuit Wands then! (They mysteriously disappear after a short while.)

Still waiting on:

The Morning After - J. Geils Band

Are You Experienced - Hendrix
it's been a year

Satchmo Plays King Oliver
it has literally been years. A year or two ago, it came out on vinyl, as well as singles with alternates. Tired of waiting, I recently purchased a UK 2 CD version w/6 alternate takes plus 2 other albums. Recommended.

plus:
Love Over Gold - Dire Straits
In a Gadda Da Vida - Iron Butterfly
Blues for Allah - Grateful Dead
Mars Hotel - Grateful Dead

Pie in the sky I had on preorder:
Clear - Spirit
hopefully, someone will release this SACD. An often overlooked very good album. It was canceled when AF went bye-bye.

Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle - One From the Heart was at one time announced for SACD by Acoustic Sounds, since retracted
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left was announced for a Blu-ray audio release WITH surround mix, retracted

Still waiting...

I don’t even see that James Gang SACD on the Acoustic Sounds website, pretty sure it was there before, hope they didn’t cancel it.
And wonder what the hold up is with Steppenwolf, wasn’t that already released then pulled back because of a glitch.

Me, I’m waiting for the Blue Train SACD they are supposedly repressing

Soul Blues - Lightnin' Hopkins AP Hybrid 2ch SACD

I spoke with Acoustic Sounds. They still have no ETA on this, although they announced it a year or so ago.

They are still maintaining that SACD Are You Experienced will ship at the end of January.

You know Quad Goddess, Lightnin' dedicated this to all the women of the world, and the men were to just sit back and listen and learn... and he'd build a heaven of his own, with only women (no men allowed)
Probably mono recording though -you think?

Mono or 2ch SACD? It's as clear as mud.

I have it on order with Acoustic Sounds who claim it is stereo.

Wiki claims 1963 recording date at Van Gelder Studios. Clearly a date when most things were recorded in stereo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul_Blues_(album)

Discogs claims a release date of 1965 & mono.

IF this SACD ever does get pressed, I'll let you know.

Until then, ??????????????????

Yeah, not sure they always know what's going on over there?
See the review on this one...
