I got tipped off about this tool last week (I'd never even heard of it before) by a friend who said it is well worth a look and he was spot-on correct.
The free version is a little hobbled in terms of how you access content but it does not seem to reduce the actual playback of anything.
Why use it? Well, as we know the Oppo BDP-105 handles multichannel FLAC & Native DSD as well as being network capable (we have a 3 TB HDD on ethernet that is accessible to all our computers as well as the Oppo) but you are limited to the media file types the Oppo supports natively. This gets around all that very nicely indeed.
All you need to do is tell it what folders to "watch", and then to access these you use the Oppo's network capability.
