And I don't think this was a re-record unless somebody had access to a 1970's style plastic sealing machine.

Eric Carmen 's Self Titled GRT Q8. Factory Sealed. Just opened today by me.

The front and rear channels are NOT in sync!! The rear channels are between 1 and 2 seconds ahead of the front channels.

How on earth could that have happened?

Anybody know GRT's address?? :D

It's definitely real quad as when you place the balance to either front or rear, there are different, discrete instruments front and rear. But they are really out of sync! Both tracks 1 & 2 same thing. Factory sealed, had the cutout mark on spine. Recent purchase off ebay. Wierdest Factory Goof. They must not have had ANY quality control at all! This is WORSE than the crazy cross channel goof-up as this is totally unplayable.

Wow! That's a first. I've never heard of that happening, but I sure can believe it!

That's not a problem if you're going to convert it into digital... just re-align it properly. It's still better than having a Q8 made from a SQ or CD4! :)
