I like this. Bought my first copy on Q8, along w/ Carly's Greatest and Joni's Hissing the day I got a Q8 installed in my new '76 Buick. Great mix, nice performance. Broddy Bounce gets up on its hind legs and barks. Very poppy, but cool. Perhaps one day, this album will be rediscovered like Mancini & Esquivel were 15 years ago. Until then, along with Christopher Cross, it will be relegated to the 10 for $1 bin, at least in estereo. Since '76, I've acquired the CD-4, 2ch LP, CD & "Por Amor Viviremos" on 2ch LP, the album en Espanol. Capitan y Tennille.
Most A&M Quads aren't duds, just the Q8's they released in their 2nd batch. All "Quad lite." Baez' Shadows was the first A&M Quad. It was a good mix. The 2nd batch didn't come out on Quad LP. The later A&M's are usually pretty good mixes.
Yes, I've heard those plasma "wives tales." Sadly, most brands don't even offer plasma any more. Elite was the best. Pioneer bailed. I've got 2 1080p Panasonic plasmas, a 42" & a 60" from '07 & '08. Nothing available today, including the current Panasonics, looks as as good as those screens. I bought a current 42" 1080P and then a 42" 3D 1080P Panasonic and returned them both. They weren't as bright and the colors didn't pop. Yes, I fiddled with the settings. Technology taking a quantum leap backward.
