I have read that the Cosmic Slop Q8 mix is not very good. I made a Q8 Funkadelic mix tape using Sansui decoder with some tracks from Cosmic Slop, they synthesized pretty well.

You mean Cosmic Slop?

the general consensus on that one (from a Q8 release from good ol' Westbound Records) is that it's an up-mix or just an ultra poor failed Quad mix.

a good personal Up-mix from something like Penteo does a far better job IMO.
