Denon releases new receiver line! 4 New 'X' receivers (June 2020)

These receivers do absolutely nothing for those of us who still want to enjoy our legacy formats. That would make it totally useless for me. I need multichannel analog inputs; these receivers don't offer them. My current receivers better not take a dump on me!

I need them to connect my Surround Master. No HDMI on there. Bazinga.

Just saw this notice, (not sure where to drop this one, but...) Firmware update that includes DTS: X PRO- for those that absolutely, positively must have the mostest in surround field-maybe not news

There's also the ability to decode MPEG-H coming for some of the higher end models in the update. This should enable 360 Reality Audio music to be decoded and played.

They're in the minority. The vast majority of new receivers on the market make no provisions for devices, like the Surround Master, being connected to them.

couldn't you get one of those outboard converters that go RCA to HDMI and use the bypass feature?

Ive not seen one of these. Can you post a link please? (I’ve seen HDMI IN to RCA Out but not vice versa)

Having just purchased the 3700, I’m happy about this only because the update fixes the initial volume issue. It’s not a big deal, but I’ll be glad to have it fixed.
