Electronics Place in Kenosha Wisconsin

Here in St. Louis we had a great electronics surplus store for almost my entire life. They opened in 1960 and I started going there immediately as a nine year old. The pandemic was the final nail in their coffin and they closed about two or three years ago after over 60 years in business.

I saw this video about a similar but somewhat larger place in Kenosha, Chester electronics. Gateway had two founders and both of their widows hastened the downfall of what was left.

Wow. I was surprised to see this post. I have been going to Chester's for 40 years. Great store. Really nice people, too. Thanks for posting this!
