I know it can be done, but I am not sure of the procedure. I have NERO 8 on my main music PC, and I want to make .ISO copies of the DVD-Audio's I create.

When I go to "Nero Burning ROM", there are choices that seem to be correct, but I don't know the difference. They are:

DVD-ROM (ISO)
DVD-VIDEO
DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

Then, within the ISO option form, there are questions like:

Data Mode: (Mode 1; Mode 2/XA)

File System: (ISO 9660 only; ISO 9660 + Joliet; ISO 9660:1999)

File Name Length (ISO): (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 chars, (level 1); Max of 31 Chars (Level 2))

Character Set (ISO): (ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD+ROM); DOS; ASCII)

Then some checkboxes for "Relax Restrictions"
[ ] Allow path for more than 8 directories
[ ] Allow more than 255 characters in path
[ ] Do not add the ';1' ISO file version extension
[ ] Allow more than 64 characters for Joliet names

Can anyone start me in the right direction? If I had to guess, I would do DVD-VIDEO with all of the defaults, but I'm not sure.

Not sure with Nero, but there's a small program called DVD Decrypter that will make .iso of homemade DVD-As, video_ts and audio_ts included.

Have you checked to see if your DVD-A creation software does it?

I choose the image option and then simply rename the output file to .iso..

most DVD backup programs give you the option of making an ISO file

or you can use ImgBurn which is donation ware and works well for this..
