Released in 1972, Rhymes & Reasons was Carole King's fourth album. Reaching #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, it was slightly less successful than Tapestry and Music (which were both released in 1971 and both hit #1) but it did yield the Adult Contemporary #1 single Been to Canaan.
