I remember buying my first Sherwood integrated amplifier at age 16. My friend built me a set of speakers that followed me everywhere until they died.
At about that time a Portland OR Quad radio station KQ4 started up, now KGON classic rock station. The aspiration for today was planted.
Today I own a Sony ZA1100ES Atmos capable amp. I boxed my Musical Fidelity A3.2CR because stereo just doesn't intrigue me right now. And no one's going to pay me what it's worth.
Speakers are Aerial, Martin Logan and Klipsch.
For my 67th birthday I set up my audio tree house (because it's on the second floor).
That moved the gear out of an acoustic nightmare loft.
Now I'm in search of the perfect streamer. I now own ROKU Ultra, Apple 4K 2022, and this morning took delivery of a Fire Cube newest generation.
I've got over 400 Atmos/360 tracks in Amazon playlists.
Migrated them to Apple and TIDAL. Not very successful.
