Hello folks,

i've discovered today a intresting thing: many Sony prducts are using Linux as the base OS and thus everything that run on top has to be released as source code:

Among these blu-ray players, there is one that can do sacd?
It may be the possibility to get the sacd filesystem finally readable on a pc.

I believe computers need the proprietary dsd chip in order to read the sacd discs from a drive. some sony products do have these chips and can in theory do sacd playback. I also believe I've seen that some dsd mastering can be done on pcs just no burning or playback from discs. From files though yes I think.

I've always wondered if it was possible to hack a PS3 to read a SACD. Closest thing to a computer that I know of that can read a SACD.
