Max (ex-HBO) removing Dolby Atmos streaming / 4K -- new plan

Basically three tiers now instead of two. Call it what it is, a four dollar monthly increase in cost.
Changes in December. They just want to soak the high bandwidth users, I guess, without losing regulars
who don't care about 4K or Dolby Atmos.

Man everything about HBO Max Max just bums me out. On paper it seemed like what people would have wanted: the entire Warner Brothers catalogue + Viacom stuff all in one spot. Then the merger happened and… well…

At least now that it’s called Max they actually started putting existing 4K versions of stuff on there, instead of limiting it to just the 4 Matrix Movies and 2 Godzilla movies (and one Wonder Woman film) like how it was when it was called HBO Max…

That being said, I no longer get free Max with my internet as I moved to Denver where AT&T internet doesn’t even service, and I’ve had to switch (back) to the devil Xfinity, and get Peacock Premium instead. Not sure I’d even want to pay $19.99 a month for Max, they bungled the transition so badly
