That shows a tiny 1 point increase (dr13) from a rip a LP that was most likely the result of a pressing with a lot of clicks and pops & noise on it.
That has to tell you something went a bit wrong with the persons rip. ;)
It also shows a LP with the worst DR (09) that I've ever seen for this album.

I don’t think it takes very many ticks clicks or noise to get an additional 1 point increase in DR. It could have been a very clean copy of the LP.

My favorite Straits!

Gonna be hard to beat the already exceptional sonics of the original CD master, though...

Especially since it was a 16-bit/44.1kHz recording (Sony 3348 DASH). Still a collectible disc, but unlikely to sound much different/better.

I wonder if this was a digital mix and at what bit rate?

I received my copy in the mail yesterday. It was a day late. I used Music Direct instead of MoFi. And, my Special Edition number is: 000210

I also received mine from Music Direct yesterday, I plan to give it a listen this evening.

Just remember Donald Fagen's NIGHTFLY was a 16b/44.1 DDD recording and sounds spectactular on both DVD~A and SACD 5.1.

I'm certain the MoFi SACD will better the RBCD! Great DR scores!

The difference is that the Fagen album was remixed from the multitracks into 5.1...I doubt this MoFi SACD is...

...maybe it's some kind of test

I was just alluding to the fact that 16/44.1 DDD PCM masters can sound excellent when remastered to a hi res format! Analogue Productions' prooved this with three of their Stereo SACDs remastered from 16/44.1 DDD PCM sources [Cowboy Junkies' TRINTY SESSIONS, Nils Lofgren LIVE and bassist Rob Wasserman's DUETS].

True, but it's the mastering that's the special sauce, not the hi-res format.
