I posted a list a while back of what I managed to get for a dead format in the past few years...

Here is my current DVD-A collection. Everything here came off the shelf or from trading with some great folks. I never had to buy online or sell a single disc. My thanks to all.

Nice collection! A few of those look familiar ;)

If you haven't already done so, try doing your collection on SA-CD.net. Great way to keep track of everything (library and wish-list). Unfortunately, there isn't a similar website to easily create libraries for DVD-A.

Nice collection! You've got a couple of harder ones that I never managed to snag back when they were more easily available. I see you've got the Beach Boys. If you're a Brian Wilson fan, be sure to check out his DTS-CD of "Imagination". Not exactly classic tunes, but the songs aren't nearly as bad as some of the reviews would make it seem. Plus the overall sound and surround mix are great. In my opinion, anyway.

Thanks.

I have heard 'Imagination'. It's quite nice.

very very impressive it looks kind of like mine would be as I fell in such love with dvd-a, dts and sacd I ran out and bought everything I could get my hands on, some good some not so good, some of those on your list are now going for over $100 on ebay, kind of makes me wonder why the record companies did'nt just pay the royalties to the artists like they wanted and keep producing. There is obviously a whole lot of us out there who would keep buying.... I guess I-pod stepped in took over the hi rez multichannel market??

Nice collection!!!...for a guy from Canada. Nice to see someone with Tom Cochrane. What do you think of Venus and Mars dts?
Harold

Thanks fellow Canuck :)

'Venus And Mars' was one of my favourite LP's back in the day. The surround mix is refreshing, but the recording not stellar. What do you think of it ?

'Trapeze' is a great disc all around.

I only have 'Venus & Mars on vinyl.
Yes, Trapeze is great, isn't it? And the 5.1 mix was done on Mavis Road in Mississauga! I wonder how many QQ Yankees got into Tom Cochrane from this disc?

I actually sent the studio that did the surround mix an email to compliment them on their exemplary work.

They did not respond... at least I thanked them.
