Can't remember if I posted this yet. Black Sabbath went a little crazy with this album cover from 1983. I actually did have the LP and recall hiding it from my mom as I knew she would be mortified. :) Of course, we all know this was "post" Ozzy era and this particular album was done with Ian Gillan at vocals. I truly do like the album and find Gillan's vocals add a very eerie element to the music.

Talking about Sabbath...they had another album cover that I always found "interesting" to say the least...that would be Technical Ecstasy. It was released in the Ozzy era 1976. The cover was done by Hipgnosis and leaves little to the imagination I think.

I've gone through this entire thread, and I've come to two conclusions. One - this thread might as well be called pornophonicporn.com.

Two - my contribution to this thread has not yet been posted. I have this cover on the wall of my listening room.

That looks Pink Floydy trippy :smokin

This is my favorite thread... I love the little pointing hand on "stu gilliam's" album trying to get my attention! The new Darkness album, by the way, not so good IMHO.. highly compressed and weak material.

...and then, there's Homer & Jethro! Many of their covers were drawn by Jack Davis. The music was wackier than the covers. Kind of like Spike Jones, only country. In fact, here they are with Spike Jones doing Pagliacci: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OKnx9F8uE8&spfreload=10

In '82(?), I had the pleasure of meeting Jethro Burns, playing it "straight" on his mandolin as the opening act for David Grisman at Chicago's Park West. A True Gentleman!
