Nice of them to do that, but it's really scary if they begin by releasing all this Yablonsky stuff on SACD. The mediocritization of the classical SACD field has begun.

January 2004 Release
Holst: The Planets & Mystic Trumpeter - Clare Rutter, Soprano; RSNO Ladies Chorus; Royal Scottish National Orchestra conducted by David Lloyd-Jones (Naxos SACD 6.110004) (Released in the U.K. on January 5th)

February 2004 Release
Rachmaninov: Piano Concertos No. 2 and 3 - Scherbakov, Piano; State Orchestra of Russia conducted by Yablonsky (Naxos SACD 6.110013) (Also slated for DVD-A release in February)

March 2004 Releases
Shostokovich: Symphony No. 7 - Russian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yablonsky (Naxos SACD 6.110020)

Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake (Complete) - Russian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yablonsky (Naxos SACD 6.110005)

On a related note, can you get any information from Naxos regarding a possible SACD release of The Adventures of Robin Hood which is currently available on CD & DVDA?

A friend has been trying to get the Naxos weirdoes to give him a release date for the DVDA for the North American market, but the Naxos customer reps told him that they had no idea this DVDA existed, even though he sent them a link to Naxos' own German website on which the Robin Hood DVDA is clearly listed.

It's not on the list of planned SACDs through March. I'll ask the Naxos folks if they have any info on a potential SACD edition.

the good thing about Naxox is they tend to release many titles so if you don't like one, just wait. Lets hope this is the case with SACD's

They're talking about 1 or 2 for the first few months and then 2 per month starting in April in Europe. The U.S. SACD releases start in April as the SACDs will originate from their European group. Should be interesting.
