That's the whole problem, it's very hard to get a woofer to match the electrostatic as it will almost always sound boomy, lumpy and not right.
The Heil solution is naturally self damped due to the panels facing at 20 degrees. I will publish a frequency response curve of a previous prototype later tonight. I think you guys will be shocked

We have been trialing multiple woofer solutions to match the 4 ft tall Y4 electrostatic panel. All so far sucked. Dare I say ( and this is a bad time to say it). I am trialing the final solution...... Heil

Interesting dip from 40 to 30 Hz and then a rise to 20 Hz.

The 20 Hz thing was diaphragm resonance. On this one I will tune it to around 30 hz I hope

But, as you said, the frequency response is remarkable.
