I just got me a SQD-2020 and enjoying it a lot (from the looks already!). For some time now I've been trying to connect my SACD Player to a vintage quad decoder (I said Oppo in the title, but here trying with a Pioneer SACD too). My idea is basically to do what's in the drawing below.
But when I connect like this, while it plays and separates channels, the sounds cuts off here and there. It doesn't happen (mostly? happened once or twice?) with the Player connected to the front amp as the manual says.
My question.. is this possible to do such thing? Or there might be something incompatible between the Player and the old decoder? Thanks!
