John,
A few questions if you don't mind?
(Only because the site doesn't say... or i'm too dumb to find it!
)
Is this the type of deal where we (read: the consumer) sends the material
to you and you do the upmixing? I would then assume the costs/labor are
based on the length of the material sent?
Will there be a commercially available box for purchase down the line and if so, how would they be priced?
For industrial / corporate use only or would there be a consumer box?
This sounds like an amazing concept.
I always wanted to have our old CD (from 1986) done to 5.1.
We have the original 24 track reels but I believe they have tape rot and to go through
the hassle of baking, transferring and re-mixing for the sake of just doing it would be forbidding.
Hell, we weren't that famous anyway!!!
(we did have a song in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and our CDs
go for about $75.00 to $150.00
on E-Bay.... geez, too bad we didn't even come close back then!!)
I do have the master DAT and an upmix might sound quite good if done right. (it's about 45 mins long)
Just curious!
Thanks and all the best with the project!!
