QRX-7001 Goes Dark

My Sansui qrx-7001 has suddenly lost all dial and meter lamps. The QS, SQ & CD-4 lamps still work. The numeric "2" and "4" still lights but not the blue backround. Is there an in-line fuse somewhere that needs replacing?

Yes there is a fuse for the lamps, but if the lamps are intermittant or work sometimes and then fail.....you are more likely looking at a cold solder joint in the wiring to the lamps.

To get to the fuses, remove the top cover, then locate the black "box" cover in the right rear quadrant of the receiver. Remove the 4 screws holding it down (be careful slipping the antenae leads around the box). You will find the amp fuses mounted horizontally on the main board there. The lamp fuse is mounted on a vertical board along the left side of the "box". If you need the specific fuse number let me know.
