Singer who ranged from free jazz to standards to classical minimalism. In addition to her own records, she appeared on recordings of Steve Reich's work, from the first indie issue of Drumming (1971) to his most famous pieces on DG and ECM in the 70s and 80s, all the way through his Nonesuch repertoire of the 1990s and 2000s.
