Sansui Remote Control on Ebay

Does anyone know if this Sansui remote works with the QRX-_001 series receivers?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that it works for the 6001/7001/8001, but NOT for the 9001... but that's just my unreliable memory.

The only reliable information I can give you is that the 9001 definitely does not have a port for a remote control.

It is for the "first generation" receivers. QRX-6500 and below (I'd have to check whether the 7500 has the jack for it)

It WILL NOT work with any of the *001 series receivers. They did not have any remote capability.

I know my Sansui QRX 7500 does not a a jack for a remote ,but i recall my first exposure to Quad was with a friends 6500 that had a remote that controlled volume and a joystick like control on the unit that adjusted balance.
