"Takes" - new Surround mixes and older Quad mixes

One unique thing about the older Quad mixes (1970s), they sometimes used alternate "takes", sometimes some songs ran a little longer than the stereo mix of the album or a special audio effect wasn't used in the Quad mix (Paranoid, for example).

I have 2 new surround mixes - ABC/Lexicon & DSotM, I don't think any alternate "takes" were used to make these new Surround mixes.

Anyone noticed that any of the new Surround mixes used alternate "takes" - different instruments and/or songs play a longer (or shorter?) time?
