Would this unit play DVD-A?

Thanks for the reply.

I remember listening to the STS model a few years ago equipped with the 5.1 surround system and was impressed.

Sadly, newer GM models will still play DVD-A but now downmix discrete rear info. They then re-create surround from that blend. It ends up sounding like sludge. :(

Confusing which units do/don't fold-down.

Simpler solution would be an in-dash Oppo mobile unit. And while I'm dreaming, toss in Navigation, Blu-ray and Bluetooth. :)

Course, there's always a chance, these will liquidate via online auction.

Personally, I think their aesthetics are kind of cool. (Someone commented that they looked cheap.)

I couldn't find any information regarding playback of DVD-Audio with the Denso DW468100-6100, GM part #25851426 so I tried other automakers that use Denso GPS/DVD units. It appears Toyota and Lexus models have used this Denso model but again, no clear indication of DVD-A. Here is another auction and if the picture of the faceplate in the body of the auction is supersized, the lower left logo sure looks like the DVD Audio/Video logo but it is too blurry to know for sure on my laptop.

"the uMusic mood-sensing system"? I couldn't find anything on this that was helpful, but will it change songs based on your mood? Might not be good for the Southern CA freeways at rush hour...
