Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Surround Sound SACD

Does anyone yet know if the "Experience" WYWH now listed (release date: 11/7) on Amazon's US site is the SACD multichannel version? Nothing on the site seems to indicate it's an SACD at this point...

I would love to get the BD as well for the high resolution Quad mix from Andy Parsons...but will hold out hope for a Blu-ray only SKU in the future, I'm not paying $125 for one disc.

I have the SACD pre-ordered, the 5.1 Guthrie mix will have to suffice for now.

Me too, but I also ordered the SACD. I'll probably keep it sealed and hope it becomes as rare as some others that I'm planning to eventually use to fund my retirement now that my pension fund has taken a hit. But who knows, the DSOTM SACD is probably the least rare SACD out there.

Thanks...I just ordered it from AS. Can't wait...and of course I want to continue to support the format. I know that The Wall is not slated for a 5.1 release at this point, but if enough of us buy WYWH ....

I was going to order only the sacd but then I got upset with Acoustic Sounds for not being willing to combine a currently pending order with my WYWH sacd preorder, so...I canceled the sacd and ordered the box set.

For what it's worth.... was just advised today that my pre-order of DSOTM Immersion shipped today! Given the delays of other impending releases, I'm encouraged that it appears the Floyd material will be out timely and pretty close to schedule.

Acoustic Sounds webshop is not so friendly for outside "domestic USA". Acoustic Sounds requires a $50 minimum order for non-continental U.S. customers plus high shipping costs. I'll decide in November where to buy.

Say what????Whilst Tea For The Tillerman is a nice bit of work, I hardly think that delays on delivery of a stereo SACD raises much concern on a multichannel forum - no disrespect meant to those who cherish their SACD's in stereo - however it is dully noted.

I understand this is a multi-channel forum. However, it's a re-issue none the less; just as the Pink Floyd series is. I was only sharing my pleasant surprise that not only did it appear the release was not going to be delayed but was actually going to happen a tad early(at least for me).

No worries - I just got a little scared that perhaps you had some inside scoop on the delays regarding MC releases (besides the Pink Floyd titles ie, Crimson). Happy that you're happy.
