Ok, after Andy's post commenting that the album is nearly complete and today's revamp of David's Facebook, I believe it's likely that we'll get an announcement soon. davidgilmour.com site is down at the moment, so one more reason to especulate.
Question is: With a new producer and mixer, will we get a surround mix?

The guitarist and songwriter's fifth solo album was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. David co-produced with ALT-J's Charlie Andrew and Marika Hackman, with lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson. Of this new working relationship, David says, “We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, “Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?” and “Do they all fade out? Can’t some of them just end?”.

My first thought was, “Because he’s David effin’ Gilmour, that’s why!”

Hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since the last album. Time is rushing by fast.
