IMHO they can put that book where the sun doesn't shine.
Bring on the Atmos mixes please.

That's a wet dream! 💦
Different album... ;)

One of classic rock’s most acclaimed albums, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023. And though the official announcement of an expanded audio edition to mark the occasion has yet to be made, the publisher of an official commemorative book has leaked the news of a “luxury box set.” The book, Pink Floyd: The Dark Side Of The Moon: The Official 50th Anniversary Book, arrives in the U.K. on March 1, via publisher Thames & Hudson, on the anniversary of the album’s original release date. The U.S. edition is scheduled for March 7. Its authors are listed as Pink Floyd, photographer Jill Furmanovsky and longtime Floyd art director Aubrey Powell.

From the publisher’s announcement: The album-sized package features rare and unseen backstage and onstage photography and reveals the visual conception of the original iconic album artwork. Designed by Pentagram to high specifications, this official book commemorates the band and the album.

The big news of the new audio edition was made in a somewhat “oh, by the way” sentence in the book announcement: “[The March] date will also see the launch of a luxury box set containing a re-release of the album together with numerous related music items.”

If there isn't an Atmos mix, I can't see what possible "must have" content there could be. I will be looking for an excuse to buy this 50th Anniversary box set but I am having a hard time envisioning what content (other than an Atmos mix) could make it an easy decision. Can't wait to see the details.

Rumor is that Wet Dream and David's first album have both been remixed by SW. Another story is whether or not any of them will ever b released

In regards to the DSOTM Atmos mix that Guthrie did, it can't be that much of a drastic change from the previous 5.1 mix.
