Just noticed this on eBay...I'm assuming it's just a labelling mixup but a quad mix of a Gong album isn't entirely out of the question given this thread from 13 years ago where some info came to light that the album before 'Shamal' called 'You' had a (never released) quad mix done...

I would happily get this and try it out for you guys thru the SQ Surround Master but I'm NOT paying $49.99 PLUS $39.99 shipping, I don't care how rare it is, sorry.

I have that LP(promo copy) with the same numbers etched in the runout area on side 2, On my copy on side 1 end in -1B.
No SQ indications on my labels.
I'll give mine a spin and see what I find.

Lots of discussion about this at:
https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/showthread.php?3234-Still-UNKNOWN-USA-release-QUAD-Lp-1975-!!!

Copy on ebay with SQ markings on the labels on both sides
MATRIX: SIDE A: AL 34156 1F AT/GP, SIDE B: BL-34156-1B AT/GP SX B.

My copy (promo copy, timestrip on cover) with no SQ markings on either side
MATRIX: SIDE A: AL 34156 1B AT GP, SIDE B: BL-34156-1B AT GP .
my copy looks like this(same seller)(including the ringwear:( )

Side 1, almost nothing coming from the rears, nothing sounds like it was meant to come from rears.
To my ears, definitely not quad/SQ for this -1B pressing.
Side 2, totally different from side 1, lots coming from the rears, much/most is discretely in the rear or the front
so it sounds like it was placed there on purpose. The entire side 2 is like this.
Side 2 to my ears, could be SQ/quad for the -1B pressing.
