I thought a SQD-2000 was evaluated, but it is a SQD-2020, anyway:

Funny how he repeatedly called it an SQ-2020. And I still don't get all the talk about "pumping". I have an SQD-2050 and never hear any of that.

I wonder if Sony changed to more variable matrix, less gain riding on their later logic decoders, IIRC, their later SQ decoders topped out at about 12 to 15dB channel separation (read on another website).
