Shades of Samurai Night Fever!
And O.J. Simpson was in that skit. :cringe:

or . . .

You can tell by the way I wok,
that I'm a Chinese cook.
Ah, ah, ah, ah,
Stay in Shanghai,
Stay in Shanghai . . .

Was that Weird Al or Robin Williams?

Like most any music Disco had its high points and its lows. I certainly like quite a bit of it too. Heck, even Pink Floyd got in on the act.

I agree about disco. It had gotten pretty depressing all the singer/songwriters writing and singing :)D) about all those depressing subjects for years and so it was refreshing for something else to come along. I guess it was a little return to the 65-69 period with the dance music.

Anyway, my wife and I enjoyed it very much.

Oh, and I will guarantee that if there are a lot of people sitting around a bar, to this day, and "Stayin' Alive" or "Rock the Boat" comes on, at least half the people will start moving to the beat.

Doug

No freaking doubt!!

what about this and this

As a young man I used to spend my money on wine, women, & song, now I whine about women and spend my money on songs :smokin

For those who love the Doors...and would like to experience something different...the downside being it's a CD..now if I didn't lose you with that disclaimer there are some interesting approaches on this CD..various artists doing songs from the Doors catalog..can you imagine Edgar Winter on THE CRYSTAL SHIP..Lou Gramm(Foreigner)doing LOVE ME TWO TIMES...L.A.WOMAN with Ted Turner of Wishbone Ash...ALABAMA SONG with Todd Rundgren..LIGHT MY FIRE with Ian Gillan(Deep Purple)..Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe(yes)..THE END with Pat Travers and Jimmy Greenspoon(3 DOG NIGHT)...and others...probably somebody on the forum has this CD as it was released in June of 2014..if so maybe they can give their impressions...but it sounds like it would be a cool thing to listen to...HERE IT IS
