How did everyone else make out with this disc? I discovered I had one in the midst of my 'decluttering" and decided to check it out. I first ran it through Penteo, seeking the lazy way out, and the results were, well, "mixed". So I decided since it was a Saturday, the house was a disaster, and I still hadn't put socks on, I would drag down my dusty old Sony Surround Decoder and decode this sucker properly.
The results are still mixed. When I get some screen shots I'll post them, along with some audio samples. I just wondered how you other guys did with this disc.

I uploaded samples of each tune, less than a minute. These are 6 CH wav files, untouched. All levels are as they came out of the decoder. You guys can play around with them if you like, or just listen to them.
Interesting stuff, I am not convinced that today we could not do better with Penteo and SPEC and all of the other stuff, but for 1995. This is what they could do.

Playing it through the Surround Master will get you as close to discrete as Dolby Surround can get.
Thanks for letting on about this. I just got it for under $8.00 and well worth it for the classic songs and James Horner music from the film. A bit dialog heavy with sound from the film too, but enables you to watch the movie in your head. I’m glad I have it.
