Hot Tuna? I have never heard of them, but will check them out, cheers.

I don't think the Zappa quad mixes are very good at all, real shame. I do like the Blue Oyster Cult mixes.

Hot Tuna was an offshoot of Jefferson airplane, some members of JA in it.
Guess Who is sacd mc on a AF production out or soon released.

Hot Tuna is Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady from JA. A highly recommended single layer 5.1 SACD is Jorma's Blue Country Heart. IMHO, Hot Tuna is not metal or prog, more of a folk blues act. BTW: their management and record company talked them out of their original name: Hot Shit.

A few more prog and metal released as Quads, not listed above and not yet on 5.1 (apologies if I repeated any from above):

Has anyone actually heard the Caravan For Girls Who Grow Plump Q8?? That one seems to be extremely elusive!

I've just emailed Camel and asked - a friend was working for them a while back, and his wife got all my albums to him, which Andy Latimer duly signed, so I mentioned that. Hopefully I'll get a reply - I did ask if the Quad mix existed would it ever get released.

No reply so far!

Beck, Bogert & Appice - Live (CD is SQ encoded)

Humble Pie - Smokin

Wow, I didn't know that the CD set (import only afaik) is SQ encoded. Is it a different mix than the stereo LP set? Or was it quad to "stereo fold-down" always and forever?

And I really wish that Smokin' could come out on silver disc in that quad mix, just love that album still after all these years.
