I've seen posts that Adobe Audition (only versions 1.5 and 2.0) has the capability to decode a stereo recording of a matrix quad source into 4 mono files (which can then be encoded to DTS or other surround formats).
I've been unable to locate any reliable source to download that legacy software. The only one I found gets flagged by Norton Internet Security when I download it, so I don't want to risk running the .exe file.
Is there a place to reliably download a copy of this software (free or at reasonable cost)? Or is there any different (and perhaps better) software that can accomplish the same thing? I have a Sony SQD-2070 full logic SQ decoder but, I imagine, that modern software can achieve much better channel separation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
