Our Price: £15.99

2. Concerto for Group & Orchestra [SACD]
~Deep Purple With the R.P.O.

Er... I don't think this is the rock band "Deep Purple", but rather a classical composition with the same name.

It wasn't so much thinking it was the rock group " Deep Purple " as much as it's in both formats, DVD-A and SACD!
I didn't know it had been done before by anyone in 2 different compeating formats. Now why can't they do it more often and give us a chance to get it in the format we want , by the way has anyone done a side by side comparision of the the 2 Frantics versions and said which one they thought was the better format? I must have missed the post on the "Frantic"
being released in both formats . Silly me!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT="">

Ted Cohen from EMI kicked off the presentations with an enthusiastic delivery that emphasized "getting the [DVD-A] message to music fans," and praised the surround options possible with the format. Cohen also stated that DVD-A offered the industry a way to "keep the physicality of music retailing alive," adding that over the next year, we'd be seeing an "amazing selection" of DVD-A titles from EMI.

'Amazing selection' as in amazingly large numbers or a very interresting release list?

John Trickett, President, 5.1 Entertainment: “Now there’s a reason to go out and buy the Beatles’ White Album again.” Humorous allusion to Tommy Lee Jones’ classic line in ‘Men in Black’ notwithstanding, Trickett’s company is at the forefront of the creation of new works in surround sound.

Is this a hint or what? The Beatles on DVD Audio...
