Is the CAPS V2+ a do-it-yourself PC? Or something one can buy assembled ?

It's now called the CAPS V3 Lagoon. It's easy to build, but folks like Small Green Computer build it too.

For full disclosure, I now instead will build a larger machine (CAPS v3 Zuma) with an i7 processor, same one I use for my audiopc (for JRiver/jplay 2 channel playback I use a client/server with CAPS V2+ as client) cuz higher rez multichannel like DSD128 and DXD multichannel cause this Atom--based processor to hiccup a bit.

By the way, I just posted that my exaSOund DSD256 multichannel (8 channel) DAC review is now up on Computer Audiophile's home page. This Mytek stack is just as good, but the exaSound is a one-box solution that does up to DSD256 and 32/.384 into 8 channels....a bit overkill aka future proof. And $3299.
