I am looking at 3 Sansui QRX on the popular site. My Pioneer 949 has passed to another world. So what is the best thing to do? A 7500 or a 5500 that is warrantied? Any good repair shops close to Houston.

Because of the onboard variomatrix decoders you need an 01 model like the 7001, 8001, 9001. The 5500, 7500 have lesser decoder boards in them.

But if you have to pick get the 7500 at least it comes with the cd4 demodulator inside.
