She is an excellent singer. I'm a big fan too. She doesn't write songs, but she has a great voice. Pandora's Box is nice. Annoyingly, I haven't bought the SACD yet! I'm definitely going to get it at some point, but right now I'd like to get 'Dear Friends (DVD-audio)'. I have CD. But I can't seem to find it. It's not listed on discogs.

Discogs is far from complete especially for Asian releases; as an example, on the pink December list you posted, i can find out some album label by searching for the prefix (ULX = Basf Harmonia Mundi, MG = DGG, SFX = Philips etc... ) but most of the actual records listed there are not on Discogs.

I did a search quadraphonic on Mercari (a Japanese second-hand sales site) and Yahoo Auctions.
https://jp.mercari.com/search?keyword=Quadraphonic&page_token=v1:0https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/search...1&oq=&sc_i=&fr=auc_top&p=Quadraphonic&x=0&y=0I don't usually look at eBay, but how does it compare to eBay?
I only look at it, but it's still fun.
At a quick glance, it looks like eBay has more items than those sites.

I was searching around and found this reel shop website. Does anyone know about it?
It's sold out after two pages, but it's interesting.

4tr but not quad?

I didn't know such products existed.

4track can be stereo or quadraphonic, usually if there written only 4 track it mean stereo with a A and B side; if it is quad, it will show 4 channel quadraphonic etc. Plenty of examples of quad reel here on this site.

As for Beatles, i've personally seen japanese stereo reels from White Album onward, all at 7.5 inch, so of excellent quality; UK beatles reels were slower speed (3 3/4) and mostly mono version of the earlier album up to Sgt. Pepper.

Be aware also of the bootleg releases; for example, on mercari, there are two cd that are unofficial releases (Beck Bogart and Simon & Garfunkel); if it does say "collector's edition" and looks a bit weird, it may be a bootleg.

Also, before going shopping for quad media, check out first if it has been released on digital: it can be a LOT cheaper than original 50-years-old media, and usually (not always) better. For example, Chicago and Doobie Brothers had a boxset with their entire quad releases and it is way less expensive than the sum of the original releases.

I appreciate the care and knowledge you give me. Arigato!

I once bought a DVD-R of Aerosmith's Rocks quad without knowing it was unofficial.
The sound is low DR and not clear. But it was about 1,500yen. Light damage.
