Hooking Up a 4-Channel Open Reel Tape Deck

Hello,

I have a TEAC A3440 that I wish to connect to a Sansui QRX-9001. However, I don't know how to relate channels 1 thru 4 on the tape deck to LF, RF, LR, RR on the receiver. Is there a standard for this?

I don't have any discrete quadraphone tapes yet so I don't know how to test.

I had to look at my 3340 to be sure, but it is labeled on the front panel.
1 LF, 3 RF, 2 LR, 4 RR
