Here is a link where Roye Albrighton of Nektar states that the Greatest Hits Live DVD is recorde in 4 channel Dolby Digital:

It is not stated on the disc or packaging anywhere, but listening to it for the first time though the DVD's decoder, it definately is a 4 channel Dolby Digital surround mix, pretty interesting and sharp separation for a live show. The vocals come primarily from the front, the audience from the back, the instruments are all around you, with certain parts distinctly up front, and keyboard, drum, and guitar parts distintly in the rears providing counterpoints and punctuation to whole mix. It gives you a good sense of actually being in the hall, and the sound quality is quite good. That it is a quad mix is pretty cool coming from one of the first bands to realase quad lps. It also should be noted, the show is a recording of the first time the whole original band played together in 26 years, and they blew the roof off the place. If you like any of their quad albums, this DVD is a must have.
