Hi there quad members. New guy here.
I currently have a couple of Realistic STA receivers with Quatravox. I like the Q-vox sound when listening to my LPs, CDs, and audio streaming. i am looking into the Dynaquad Sherwood receivers and some quadraphonic receivers, too. However, I don't want to get into decoders and all that.
My main speakers are restored EPI 150s, and my remote speakers have the same woofers and tweeters as the EPI 150s, but in a smaller enclosure.
My questions are:
1. How do 2-channel/stereo recordings (LPs, CDs) sound on quadraphonic receivers when running in 4-channels? Does it make the sound "better"/richer than what my Q-vox Realistic sounds like?
2. If I was to get a quadraphonic receiver and wanted to stay under $200, what recommendations would you suggest I look for? I am thinking of at least 30 watts per channel or more.
3. How does Dynaquad sound in comparison to Quatravox sound?
If any of the above questions are "stupid,"... well, that's why I'm here. Enlighten me.
Thanks.
