Pioneer Announces Next Generation Universal Players

High Fidelity Review has a new story up today concerning the announcement by Pioneer Electronics of their next generation universal dvd players. Dubbed the DV-47Ai and the DV-45A, the DV-47Ai is basically the same as the previous DV-47A with the exception it will be the first ‘high-resolution’ consumer DVD-Audio and SACD player to include an industry standard IEEE-1394 (also known as Firewire or iLink) digital interface for both audio and video.
